Lesser-known fact: prior to the wine industry I spent a couple of years studying psychology. Industrial psychology in particular fascinated me. The idea that you can create a workplace environment to make people more or less productive, more or less happy and healthy, was extraordinary.
Then in retail I learned the dark art of shopper marketing, which runs along similar lines; all the ways you can affect a shopper's attitudes, beliefs and purchasing decisions with the way you lay out your store environment.
Every sales and marketing role showed me different ways we can operate to get a different, better outcome.
Your digital environment works the same way. It affects your productivity, the accuracy of your reporting, the effectiveness of your decisions, the speed at which you are able to serve your customers, what you know about them and what you can offer them, along with a thousand other things.

Apparently Danielle is a long name and ripe for shortening so some wine industry colleagues started calling me DK about 15 years ago and it stuck.
I also still answer to Danielle so feel free to run with whatever you're comfortable with.
I grew up in an unusually large family on 1500 acres of the finest cotton chipping country, about 30 minutes drive from Gunnedah, NSW. Since then I've lived and worked in most of Australia's capital cities, working in some form of sales and/or marketing role in the wine industry.
I learned about resilience before I knew what it was called. Today the goal of my work is to build resilience across every area; business, community and industry.
Other much less relevant facts: I'm a long-time frustrated NSW Waratahs supporter and two-time Super Rugby tipping champion. Granted, it was a small tipping pool, but the competition was fierce.
